This couldn’t be right. I looked in disbelief as the lying, scheming party broke the barriers and won. My family on the other en of the phone bracing for impact, while all I could do was watch, as my country fell apart before my eyes. Four years of prosperity, and the people elect a man who can’t put together a sentence. This is the cherry on top of the horrible year we call 2020. An absolute massacre that would shape our country for the worst. We thought that it would be bad with Biden in office, but not this bad. Gas prices are rising, there is a supply chain shortage, a war in Europe,  a border crisis, and our children are being fed lies. Crime is seeping into our country from every nook and cranny. All we can do is watch as it all falls to pieces. For a party that vowed to unify our nation, all it did was sever it from the very heart of its existence. China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea walk all over us like a mat on the ground. All we can do is watch though. We had just left a very positive year behind us, and we were entering a new one. iIt seemed so surreal...2020. A new decade, a new era. I went to France to visit friends. Those first two months were great. Then we heard of the virus. We heard it came from China. Within a month everything was shut down. "Oh Maybe it'll be two weeks", then four weeks, then two months, six months, two years. the economy tanked, and crime rose. Riots broke out, cities burned, statues toppled. It was a very surreal time. A mix between scary and weird was ever present. First we were told no masks, then one mask, then two, then however many you want. The nation was so polarized, over what? A Virus?
