         <description><![CDATA[<p>Agricultural Revolution meant a food surplus so a larger population could be supported. Also foreign invasions ceased meaning people could settle in safety. As England became more stable trade increased and trade settlements developed. Lords lost power because now peasants were less their property and they could leave if they wanted to.</p>]]></description>

Edward the first calls modern parliament to discuss taxes. The power of the parliament grows and the English civil war occurs which eventually leaves most of the power with parliament. The monarchy never regains their former power.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Black Death originates in Asia and spreads along the Silk Road and with invading armies. The plague thrives in the extreme lack of sanitation found in European towns and cities. Cities hit especially hard due to population density. People turn to the church for comfort. Religious extremism spreads many people whip themselves to apease God. The church fails to stop the plague and becomes increasingly corrupt. Money becomes a bigger part of the church than ever.</p>]]></description>
