         <description><![CDATA[<p>Geroge Washington had many good things happen under his presidency. </p><ol><li><p>Proclamation of Neutrality, this document stated that America was going to stay neutral during that France and Great Britain conflict. This was a great decision since America was a young nation and didn't want to get involved in European affairs.</p></li><li><p>Jay treaty, this treaty helped resolve tension between Great Britain and remove British forts on America land. This also helped resolve trade between the lands.</p></li><li><p>Establishment of the Captial, Geroge Washington and the Federal Government decided to locate the Captial city in a newly created District of Columbia on the Potomac River. </p></li></ol>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li><p>Louisiana Purchase, Jefferson purchased the Louisiana Land from the French in 1803 doubling the size of the United States. This purchased cost America 15 million dollars and stretched from the Gulf of Mexico to the Canadian border </p></li><li><p>The Embargo Act, 1807 Jefferson passed the Embargo Act to protect American shipping from British threats. This was a great decision because it limited foreign trade and helped America manufacturing grow.  </p></li><li><p>The First Barbary War, Jefferson leads the United States against the Pirates off the cost of North Africa from 1801 to 1805. This War helped create and establish the Army and the Navy. It also demonstrated America ability to wage war from the shores.</p></li></ol>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li><p>The War of 1812, this was another conflict between the United States and Great Britain that last from 1812 to 1815 and was over large issues including trade and the American sailors.</p></li><li><p>The Burning of Washington in 1814, Bristish forces invaded Washington D.C during the War of 1812 and set several buildings on fire, Including the White House and the Capitol.</p></li><li><p>The Treaty of Ghent, this treaty ended the War of 1812 and was signed in December 1814, this restored relations between the United States and Great Britain, </p></li></ol>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li><p>The Missouri Compromise of 1829, This Compromise made Missouri as a slave state and Manie as a Free State, trying to maintain power in Congress between the free states and the salve states. This was banned slavery in the in the Northen Luisiana Territory. </p></li><li><p>The Panic of 1819, this was the first ever major Finacial crisis America had ever faced. This led to major unemployment rates and many foreclosures and many banks failing.</p></li><li><p>The Monroe Doctrine 1823. This was a key foreign policy that stated the Americas off-limits to European colonization and interference, asserting that any such actions would be seen as acts of aggression towards the United States.</p></li></ol>]]></description>
