In order to remake Stone Henge with materials from my home, I looked around to find stone shaped or box shaped materials to represent the big rocks. I decided cereal and pasta boxes would be the perfect shape to balance each other on and make it look like Stone Henge! I then got a few pieces of paper and colored them green to represent the grass where the stones would lay. Even though it is a lot more colorful than the actual art itself, it still is a good representation of what it was shaped like and in my opinion is a creative way to represent it!

The Stone Henge was one of the first art pieces that we learned about this year and I have a vivid memory of learning about it so it was special enough for me to recreate it! It is so fascinating to me how it was created and built and I am also shocked by the fact that it is visited today considering how long ago it was built.

I really loved this artwork that we learned about. I thought it was a beautiful painting and loved the color used on it. When I first saw it, I knew immediately I have the perfect fish tank to use for it! I decided to cut out little fish shapes on a piece of paper and color them orange to represent the fish in the tank. I then taped them to my fish tank so it would look kind of unrealistic but vivid, kind of like the art work. I also found some house plants and put them around the fish tank to mimic what was happening in the art work. I really liked making this one.

When I first saw this painting, I was immediately astonished because it was very simple but pretty. Although I made the picture look somewhat silly, I tried my best to dress like the lady in the drawing. I found a black dress in my mom's closet, and got a shawl. I could not find a white hat, so decided to not add that part but I tried my best to find all of the other details of the painting. I attached a red ribbon to the dress to mimic what the woman in the drawing was wearing. I used a candle wick for my paint brush and a metal tray to represent the painting board. This was very fun to recreate!

I really love this piece of art because it is a very unique one. I knew it was going to be hard to recreate with objects at home, so my best bet was to recreate it with paper and markers. Realistically it wouldn't look exactly like the real thing but I purposely made it kind of messy because there was a lot going on in the art which was a messy concept. I traced elephant ears and a head with paper and used markers to design the patterns on the elephant mask. This was a fun craft for me to do!

I ended up losing my progress picture, but I can confirm that my process wasn't as much as the others. I found a plain kitchen metal bowl for baking, and drew on it with washable marker to represent the face on the mask. I then decided to just use my hair to represent the bottom of the Bundu Mask. This was the easiest one to do but it was fun to recreate!

This painting immediately stuck out to me because of the color used. I knew that I had the right materials and I was very excited to recreate it. My favorite types of artwork definitely have lots of color to it so I thought this one would be a perfect example of one to learn about.

When I first saw this painting, it seemed to be boring but it was also very unique and it called out to me. I knew I had the right materials for it and I thought it would be fun to recreate. I didn't want to just make every single one with inanimate objects, so I decided to recreate one using myself as the project.

I remember first learning about this art piece and I thought it was so amazing and I loved learning about the different cultures that it represented and what it was used for. I like seeing things that have purpose and meaning but also have color and creativity.

I enjoyed learning about this art piece and how it attributed to African cultures and such. It is so fascinating that people just wore life size versions of these and used them in rituals and more. This was a bit silly, but fun to recreate!
