During the World War many people had to flee their countries in order to find safety. So, when the Soviet Union granted asylum to people in need, it opened doors for the people that needed it the most and gave them the safety they need. Because of the war that was going on at the time, medical help was scarce and not many people were able to afford it. By giving people the right to health protection, large amounts of people were able to get the assistance they need and not have to skip a meal.
