  1. Once you’re there, browse through the articles, reading (or listening to) whatever stories interest you.  
 
  1. When you find one that really catches your attention, something that amazes you—something you can’t stop thinking about—you’ve found your topic.  
 
  1. Free write your response to the story, and consider how it connects to your own life.  
 
  1. Let yourself write in fragments, in paragraphs, whatever feels natural.  
 
  1. Write a draft of a poem with 3 to 10 lines of text (with or without a title).

For so many years -- pointing his finger
Projecting racism,
Causing tears -- did he
Fall,
This harbinger of hate?
No, he was pulled down 
By youth, a new generation;
They have made the choice:
"Let us discard the symbols
of division: let us 
Relegate these 
Memorials to oppressors 
To the dustbin of history."

I've heard people have gotten shot in their own homes
Many cops have multiple cases where they have taken advantage
They have never been charged which makes this more problematic
Hopefully soon law and order will come to this land

UCLA lecturer on leave for refusing to postpone final exams.

Another obscure professor being given the limelight.

His students claiming his “racist response” to refusing to delay a final exam.

In this time, it is obvious he is losing the fight.

But are the students serious about their protest, or is the controversy a sham?

In the end, the students are paying for their education.

They should get the most out of it, when they hit their realization.

Their voices were louder 
So they kneeled during the Anthem to demonstrate the wrongness
They were punished
They were told to stop 
Now 2020 U.S Soccer noticed
Finally change 
Finally eyes are opening 
Finally we have a chance

The hyena puts on a smile for the audience
To hide the corpses
To hide the tragedy
To hide behind the deeds of another

Ah, but fear not my people, my citizens
Follow along my music and we will prosper
Dance amongst my floor and I will have the crown
