Because of this work,  we are currently doing our first rotations with coaches, 4th, and 5th grade. Collaboration with AIG during electives and engineering on Fridays continues to be highly successful.

They are learning how to use search engines to do effective research, how to skim large volumes of information for the specific details they are looking for and to discriminate between useful information and extraneous facts. They are also learning how to keep up with sources and to organize their information into sections with a main idea and supporting details. This is also impacting the instruction in the other 7+ class because I now plan with her to develop the plans for all of the 7+ students. I have been very intentional with the materials that I offer to them and helping them stretch their thinking with extensions for the skills that they teach . I am also supporting the students in one of the 6th grade "bubble" math classes by working with small groups that have been targeted for higher level work using the class exit tickets and assessments.
