First, they introduced it when Johnny had the courage to go against Dally, when he was teasing the two Soc girls. Then, Johnny was brave enough to save Ponyboy and kill Bob, when Bob was choking Ponyboy. Also, after they were going back to the church, they saw the church on fire and there were children inside it. Johnny and Ponyboy did not think twice and went in to save the kids, because they were brave enough too. Finally, even after Johnny and Dally died.
