         <description><![CDATA[<div>To recognise and use features of technology. - Controlling the cursor on a screen. <br><br>Discussion of star words; cursor, touchpad, touchscreen and mouse - what do they all mean?<br>Activity - Having the paint application open on ipad and desktop (with mouse). Allow the children time to explore independently. Can they move the cursor around? Asking questions (How are you moving it? etc.) Challenge - using the control of your cursor can you draw an giraffe? <br>Plenary - Recap star words. This week we have looked at controlling our cursor what else can we do with a course other than paint?          <description><![CDATA[<div>To recognise and use features of technology. - Using a keyboard<br><br>Discussion - recap last week and model the use of a cursor doing multiple things. This week we are moving onto keyboards. <br>Activity -Who can find the letter the fastest with laminated sheets, can you all spell your name etc. <br>Move onto the laptops/iPads (ideally half class on one and the other half on the other so they can swap half way through). Opening word doc/notes - Can they spell their name? Can they type their favourite dinner etc. <br>Challenge - BBC dance mat typing. <br>Plenary - Who can type this sentence the fastest?
