Staff who are planning to strike are not required to notify other members of staff or students of their intentions so it is possible that you may not be told in advance and may arrive to a teaching session to find it is cancelled.

Unless you hear from the lecturer, Head of School or phy-support@sheffield.ac.uk, you should assume teaching is going ahead. If you arrive to teaching and after 10 minutes no lecturer or tutor has arrived, you can assume it is not going ahead and leave. 

You should also not assume that if one lecturer cancels teaching that they will cancel all of their teaching.
