I wanted to paint something simple, but colorful, so I decided to give this geometrical painting a try. I made it out of acrylic paint, a canvas that I made myself, and tape. I put the tape on the canvas and then painted the different shapes in a gradient. I split a piece of printer paper into triangles, did some coloring of my favorite colors, used calligraphy to write in some important words to me, and used stencils to draw in symbols that relate to the words and how I feel about those words. I took a general picture of myself and put it through an app to edit it like this. The ideas are that, for me, I don't exactly like to be open and sharing things, as there's an opposite side to my normal personality. This shadow is faded but bigger in size, and it shows my outer persona as opposed to the clearer yet smaller person inside. This is a picture of a deer and bird I drew. It took of trial and error on he antlers, ears, and nose for the deer. Also, it took a while to do the feathers for the bird. It took hours yesterday to finish it because I couldn’t get many things right.
