They were looking for religious freedom and fresh land to grow on. Even if you were poor you could still live her as an indentured servant. Many poor people chose to do this because it insured that they would have some place to work at and they would not have to try to survive on their own. I am not sure if I would have come. These 3 things were religious freedom, money, and a fresh start. If I felt very passionate about one of these things, I would’ve gone to the new world too. The reason for this is that it is okay to be poor in America, because there are many ways that you can still get by. For example being an indentured servant might not be fun however, you would be guaranteed food, clothes, and shelter. I would come to the Colonies because there was always the possibility of becoming rich, also there was more religious tolerance. If I really believed in those things I would have gone too.
