Also, why are there conflicting records based on gods in Hinduism? Why isn't there just one collective understanding like Christianity? Here is something from PEW Research, "the majority of Hindus (61%) and Jains (54%) say there is “only one God with many manifestations,” and "Many Indians – particularly Hindus – believe that God can be manifest in people, including in people in lower castes. Far fewer believe God can manifest in people who have done bad things in their lives."
