         <description><![CDATA[<div>* Long hours (6 days a week for 12 hours with minimal breaks)<br>* Low wages ($2.50 a day, if lucky)<br>* Machinery in factories could cause small fingers, legs, and arms, to be caught due to the fast motion <br>* Factory environment was a threat, due to the fumes and toxins<br>* Harvested crops in extreme temperatures, it could be considered normal for the kids<br>* Carried loads of heavy and dangerous tools<br>* Limited education due to long hours <br>* Some factories employing children led to diseases which led to deaths  <br>* Some kids were beaten, mainly the youngest ones by owners</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>* Most families needed the income that children made in order to survive<br>* Orphans simply worked so they were able to eat, no pay just food <br>* Other families forced kids because they were just greedy<br>* Some parents were advocates for child labor and child thought that was the way it was <br>* Poverty<br>* Work was considered traditional for ordinary people's lives<br>* Children could have just done it to leave the house because parents were verbally and physically abusive<br>* They were considered "little adults" and expected to help out with family <br> </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>* Between 1902-1905 organizations were committed to end child labor<br>* Reformers started to notice the harsh conditions children worked in, life's at jeopardy<br>* Photographer Lewis Hine started to take pictures, spreading it around causing people to be aware <br>* Education was starting to become a necessity for children, for personal fulfillment and nation advancement<br>* Simple tasks were mechanized, causing factories to need semi-skilled adults for the equipment<br>* Jobs started to require higher education levels, causing kids to go to school for the necessary amount of time <br>* Efforts since 1900, the National Child Labor Committee in 1904 worked towards the goal of better life's for the children(removing child labor)<br>* The Great Depression changed the political attitudes and child labor reform benefited <br>* Adults needed more available jobs, causing children to leave so there <br>were more jobs for adults</div>]]></description>
