If you were to unpack each "feminist issue", such as alleviating domestic violence, establishing equal pay for equal work, encouraging more equal gender ratios in STEM subjcts - fewer people would be opposed to that rather than the more daunting word "feminist". I need to constantly remind myself of what it means to be a feminist, and look past all of the social and political baggage that comes with that term. I would like for the day to come where I am no longer ashamed of calling myself of feminist no matter who I am talking.
