Power affects a story by changing the person and it shows a different you, the actually you wouldn't be shown. The quote is true but winning is based down just to winning its also about the loses to get to the win.

2.  Why are stories so important? Why is it so important to reject the "single story"?
Stories are important because its where you originate from and what tells your story. Its good to reject the single story because its a basic stereotype of your people and you, when you reject it, it shows you instead of the "single story".
