On June 14, 1852, Francisco de Paula Victor was transferred to the city of Três Pontas, where, in fact, he began his social work in the city. He was a parish priest for 53 years until his death on September 23, 1905.
With his passing, there was an emotional shock in the region and many wanted to say their last goodbyes to the dear priest. During the three days of wake, his body exuded a smell of roses, a sublime scent that could not be explained where it would come from.

In 2019, the Festival had the maximization of its importance being inventoried by IEPHA - State Institute of Historical and Artistic Heritage of Minas Gerais, as municipal cultural heritage. This year, it was registered as a cultural heritage of Trespontano and also received the award: Smart Cities, being the 1st project approved and awarded in relation to cultural and artistic entrepreneurship.

In the municipality are also the district of Pontalete, which is bathed by the dam of Furnas, much sought after by tourists due to its natural beauties, and the village of Quilombo Nossa Senhora do Rosário.
Here happens one of the largest events related to coffee in the country, Expocafé, where millions of reais are moved, and the event grows every year. At the fair, which usually takes place in June, several demonstrations of the novelties of coffee are held. On the site are some belongings used by the priest, such as the Bible used in his Masses (in Latin). In the countryside is the Coffee Museum, located on pedra negra farm (on the banks of the MG-167 highway, about five kilometers from the city). This museum offers the visitor the opportunity to know how the cultivation, harvesting and processing of coffee was made from the time when the crop spread in the municipality to the present day. The original features of the farm have been preserved and restored.
On the highway between Três Pontas and Varginha, the tourist can visit the Pedra Negra Farm Hotel, and visit the Coffee Museum, which shows how the cultivation was done in the past.
