         <title>Hypoxemia, or low blood oxygen levels, is a warning indication of severe respiratory issues. While special devices can measure blood oxygen, a new phone app using the camera might do the same (Hoffman et al., 2022). In a study, researchers evaluated this app and discovered that it was very accurate, particularly in identifying low oxygen levels. </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>By causing participants to experience varied degrees of hypoxemia and measuring their SpO2 using both a conventional oximeter and a smartphone camera app, researchers were able to develop a unique dataset.</p><p><br/></p><p>Based on this data, they created a deep learning model that can estimate SpO2 with a 5% overall accuracy.</p><p><br/></p><p>Significantly, the model had 81% sensitivity and 79% specificity in identifying low SpO2 values (below 90%).</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>]]></description>
