Being healthy is more important than being wealthy Discuss
Have you ever experience being rich before in your entire life? I believe many people does not have the chance of experiencing a wealthy life before they pass on. Some of us even work our health out just to reach the bear minimum of what we call a wealthy life. Although being wealthy is important as it gives us a sense of satisfaction and security, but without a healthy life, we are unable to get much feeling out of the satisfaction we gain.

In conclusion, wealth would allow us to be satisfy and secure in our life, but if we does not have a good health a the end point, we would just be passing down our hard work to the next generation without enjoying our life in the end. As we are growing in life, we must be contempt with what we have and not be greedy till we harm our own health. So, in life we should not be greedy and just earn the right amount of money and not over earn in the expense of our health

Question 25
‘Family provides the best teachers for a child's development.' Do you agree?

Have you heard of this saying 'Who you are today comes from the people around you.' before? I raised my both hands up in concurrence. As we grow, we interact with other people more than our family members. Hence, while I feel that though family provides good teachers for a child's development since our families have been with us since we were born , friends and teachers in schools also play an equally role during a child's development.

Our family has literally been with us the moment we open our eyes. They are the ones who will guide us through as we grow up. We get scolded and caned whenever we do something wrong, to let us realize our mistakes. They are good teachers that will help us shape our character and morale values. But, as we, children, grow up, we will not be by our family every single minute. We go to schools, where we will be surrounded by friends and teachers, not our family. With us not in the sight of our family, they will not know what our behavior is like. Hence, during this time, our family cannot play her part. Hence, though family is a good teacher for a child's development, it is limited.

In conclusion, friends and teachers play equally important roles as family during a child's development. As we grow up, we will be continuously surrounded by other people that are not from our family. Thus, a child is groomed and molded by the teachings and lessons learnt from family, friends and teachers. Therefore, is family the best teacher during a child's development? I doubt so.

Technology has replaced the need for teachers in today's modern classrooms." Do you agree?

Technology has become part and parcel of our lives. We can find answers to all our questions online through the use of technology. However, is technology enough to replace teachers? Even though technology aids in learning by making information easier to access, it cannot inspire and motivate students like teachers do.

Technology aids in learning as it gives us a ease of excess to information. With a simple search on the internet, we can easily find the information we want. There are also applications on the internet that aid with learning such as Google Classrooms and Google Documents. But,what if we do not have internet connection? Well,we would be unable to access any of these information online and would have to still rely on pen, paper and our teachers. Thus even though technology is beneficial, it has it's flaws.

In encapsulation, even though technology can benefit learning,it does not influence and encourage the students. So,if you are wishing for classrooms without teachers, it is not going to happen anytime soon.

People today are too dependent on electronic gadgets. How far do you agree to this statement?

Just think, what if one day you were in the midst of using your phone or tablet when all of a sudden, it crashes? If thinking about this made you feel stressed out, you are not alone. In this technology based world, we are so overdependent on technology and we use it for almost anything and everything. Because we are so caught up in the internet, people do not live in the moment. Hence, as we are unable to get things done without technology, turn to technology when in need of entertainment and feel stripped without our phones, I feel that people today are far too dependent on technology.

In the past, when things needed solving, people would use their brains to think of a solution. When people needed to find their way, they had no choice but to ask around and figure out a way themselves. However now, if we needed to get from one place to another, all we need is to search up the place and we easily will be able to find our way there. Without this technology if we were driving and our gadgets crashed with no help readily available nearby, it would be extremely hard for us as we are too dependent on technology to help us that we would not be able to think of solutions to help ourselves. If at work the internet is down, not much would be get much done as we are too overdependent on the internet. We type out instead of writing out things as it is an easier way which we are all dependent on. Therefore, as we are too over reliant on the internet, we would not be able to get much done without it due to the lives we are already used to with the internet.

Therefore, with this constantly improving technology, we tend to get more and more dependent on it as it makes our lives much easier even though it brings many benefits. Hence, technology is a double-edged sword that helps us, but yet harms us as we become too over reliant on technology

"Education is more than just about academic achievements". How far do you agree with this statement?

When it comes to education, what often comes to the minds of people? It is certainly academics. This is because education is often associated with learning subjects, such as Languages, Mathematics and Sciences, where tests can be given and the academic ability of a student can be ranked in terms of the score they achieve in the tests. To most of the public as well, a well-educated man is someone who has done well in his studies and academic pursuits. However, is this really the case? Is education really all about academic achievements? To me, I whole-heartedly agree with the statement that education is more than just academic achievements, as education also includes moral education, physical education and national education.

Education is more than just academic achievements, as education also includes moral education, physical education and national education.

Even so, there are still people who feel that academic achievements are the essence of education. This is evident in how schools still put the greatest emphasis on academics, and students are streamed into different schools and classes based on their grades. Better students are placed in better schools Thus, for students to be considered

All in all, there is more to education than just academic achievement. While academic achievement is an important part of education, other types of education such as moral and physical education also play an important role in shaping students. Therefore, educators must ensure that while they help students do well in their academics, they should also build up on the areas so that students are developed holistically.

Question 19:
It is generally acknowledged that hard work and effort will eventually pay off Do you agree?

"Practice makes perfect" is what we commonly hear professional athletes, bosses or even school teachers say whenever we ask for advice to further improve ourselves. All of which comes with hard work and effort. However, does doing so always lead to promising results? Even though hard work and effort does pay off , sometimes other factors like luck and working smart play pivotal roles in determining whether an individual will see positive results.

Hard work and effort to a certain extent does ensure that one's efforts are paid off. It is only through one's perseverance and determination to work hard, one would see their own desired results. Learning a new foreign language like Latin, mastering calculus in Mathematics and simple things like learning how to ride a bicycle are some of the tasks that require one to spend endless hours or weeks, practising day and night to get it right. Hence, only then, their efforts would eventually pay off and they will be satisfied by how much they could achieve with constant practice and hard work. However, hard work and effort does not always guarantee results. If one is truly not passionate or innately unable to do something that is beyond their means, hard work and effort does not correspond to good results. For instance, if one is not truly interested in intricate subjects like marine biology, even burning midnight oil every night trying to memorise the subject content, one will not necessary see results at the end of the day especially in examinations. Without passion and ability to perform certain tasks, hard work and effort does not necessary equate to promising results at the end of the day.

In encapsulation, it is not entirely false to say that hard work and effort does not pay off but rather one should also consider other factors like luck and working cleverly are also equally important in ensuring one's efforts truly pay off. Let us not just be fixated towards working and putting in effort but also have an open mind about other factors that come to play.

Do you agree?

Para 1: "Technology is all we need, the existence of teachers are not neccessary." Find this phrase relatable? With the advancement of technology, many students neglect the presence of teachers in our life. They show no respect to the teachers and would rather devote their study time to technology. Technology has not replaced teachers as teachers are able to provide encouragement and moral support that technology cannot however technology is able to provide us with plenty of information.

Though technology like Google can aid teachers in their teaching and provide students with unlimited access to information, it cannot replace the need for teachers in today's modern classrooms because they are still needed to explain the concept to their students and motivate them which technology cannot perform that.

Para 4: Technology however is able to provide us with a substantial amount of information.
