It is thanks to their own mistakes and the decisions they make by themselves, that they can really learn something; and not by the scolding of an adult. 
An exemple could be when a parent says to a child not to touch the flame because it burns. The child will do it regardless and only once he has burned himself will he learn that it's better non to touch the fire.
As much as growing up might seem scary, we all must face it sooner or later and once we do, we will be glad it happened. Growing up coud be described as a necessary evil.

Growing up doesn't mean getting older but it means to develop a personal and strong attitude which focuses on the  self-control and the autonomy. During this process, , everyone has to make sacrifices in order to learn how life really works. Making a decision, we are indirectly excluding an hypothetical alternative optional. So it's very important to be conscious and sure about our ideas and feelings. However, we can't refuse other advise by our friends and our family. Sometimes it is a completely blue, clean and sunlit sky.
It represents those funny and unforgettable moments of our lives.
The ones we’ll never get back.
The ones we fight for.
The ones in which we put all of ourselves into.
Sometimes it is a grey, cloudy and gloomy sky.
It represents those confusing and complicated moments of our lives.
The ones that make us lose our reference points.
The ones we fear.
The ones we want to escape from. 
And no one knows when it will be a sunny day or a rainy one.
It is simply challenging. 
But what we are certain of, it’s that we have to go through this sky sooner or later.

We go through changes to gain our independence and we try to make our decisions and opinions.
There are mature young people and immature old people so it is not just a matter of age and we think that we have to be conscious about the challenges that we are facing and the transformations in our lives to have our feelings and emotions under control.
