A good characteristic in my opinion is structure. I like the infographics that are detailed but organized. If they have to much scattered text it is to hard to follow. A clean structured look of picture and text looks the best to me.

After reviewing several infographics I would say one of the best characteristics is good visuals to go along with the textual information. The pictures or illustrations that go along with the information added to each of them in a positive way.

There are so many different infographics to look at, but it seems that they all have at least a few things in common--fluidity, clarity, and a high scale of organization. All of these factors allows the viewer's eye to move onto each topic in the infographic. As mentioned by other classmates, you don't want your infographic to be too cluttered or confusing.

To me, a good infographic has a flow from top to bottom. The movement of the given information reads as a continuation, rather than just unrelated chunks. It's a similar concept to transition sentences that link paragraphs when you're writing a paper.
