         <title>Set Up For Interactive Notebooks</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>* Use a composition/non-spiral bound book.<br>* Skip the first few pages to allow space for a title page and table of contents.<br>* You can do multiple subjects in one book; add sticky note tabs to find each section quickly.<br>* Attach an envelope in the back of the book where students can keep items they are working on.<br>* Keep them in the classroom; Do NOT let students take them home!<br>* Have students number the pages as they go.<br>* Be specific about what you expect in each entry.<br>* Provide students with a rubric to let them know how you will be assessing their notebooks.<br>* Prepare a teacher's notebook ahead of time to be able to show an example for the students; Cover information you want them not to copy with a post-it note.</div>]]></description>
