  • The plot of the trickster tales consist of Brer Rabbit, a small animal and Brer Fox; a much bigger animal. Brer Rabbit was stuck in a well and need a way to get out. Brer Fox thought he was one step ahead of him was outwitted instead.

  • The lesson to take away from the trickster tale is: it does not matter whether you are strong or not but how smart you are. Brer Rabbit used Brer fox's curiosity to hs advantages

  • Another lesson to take away, "curiosity killed the cat". Brer Fox was curiosity and let his guard down allowing Brer Rabbit trap him.

    • Brer Rabbit being the lazy creature gets hot and tired from the sun first and offers to go fetch water for everyone

    • Rabbit is warm so he decides to bathe in the well

    • Once stuck, he tricks Brer Fox to come down into the well
