Having the opportunity to work hard and be able to improve one's lifestyle compared to generations before her.

What did you plan to become “when you grew up”? 

A nurse, officer, or a teacher.

What is your American Dream? 

To have a good job, nice house, being able to provide for family, medical care, and a good retirement.

What or whom do you think influenced your American Dream?

 Her mom, she saw the sacrifices her mom made to come to America to create more opportunities for her kids than she did growing up

Have your own hopes and dreams come true? Why or why not? Could you elaborate?  

Yes, she's happy with her profession and had the opportunity to go to college and although it wasn't easy it opened up many opportunities for her, she feels she gets to come to school and hopefully motivate students to work hard and inspire them do their best.
Is the American Dream realistic to achieve? What happens if a person falls short of their personal American Dream?

If people are willing to work hard than their dream is possible and even if they fall short they can still do very well but excuses to not work hard that's a problem.

Do you believe that the United States is still a “land of opportunity”?

Yes, it gets a bad rep sometimes, but there's millions of people immigrating to start a better life showing it is still a great place of opportunity

What is the one piece of advice you remember your parents trying to impress upon you?  Did you take their advice?  Why or why not?

To work hard and not give up, she took it because of her seeing her own parents take their own parents not give up and work hard gave her an example.

What final piece of advice do you have for me regarding my dreams?

 It won't be easy but if i stay focused and have a plan through action i can achieve my goals.
