Many people during 9/11 showed a lot of bravery by helping all injured during and after the attacks. the quality or state of having or showing mental or moral strength to face danger, fear, or difficulty. Being brave is about rising to the occasion and helping others in dangerous situations. On 9/11 the terrorist hijacked flight 93 at 9:28 A.M. The passengers found this out and rushed the cockpit. The passengers all died in their act of bravery in a pennsylvania field. A man named Rick Rescorla who worked in the south tower. When the first plane hit the world trade Center they asked him and his people to stay in the building. Using strong wording he told the person who told him that that he was going to get everybody out. Because of this he saved about 2,700 lives. A man named Beau Doboszenski was working as a tour guide in the pentagon when the plane hit. He said he didn't even hear it but when he heard the commotion he rushed to the site. He provided aid to many people back and forth. Along with aiding the injured he rushed in to the building while it was still on fire and looked for hurt people. Everybody during the 9/11 showed some signs of bravery when there was panic throughout the country and all who provided help in some way are heroes.

They sacrificed everything, even their lives for their country. The heroes of flight 93 sacrificed all they had to stop the terrorists from attacking the White House.

A third trait of the heroes of 9/11 was “compassion.” “Compassion” is sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others. The First Responders and Heroes of 9/11 showed great compassion toward others on that dreadful day. Our First Responders selflessly served our country that day and comforted those who needed it. The first responders would immediately seek to provide a sense of hope, safety, calm, and connectedness, regardless whether person was conscious or unconscious. The Heroes of 9/11 were compassionate to the victims by staying with them and being there for them to help them feel safe after the tragedies the victims faced. Emergency responders know that disasters and mass violence events can cause huge amounts of traumatic, physical and emotional pain. Responders often are identified as individuals who can help treat and stabilize medical needs or provide direction on how to get to safety during a crisis. This means their actions and words have great effect on people who need help. In order to be most successful in providing care and safety in emergency situations, it is important to use effective communication strategies with those seeking help. The first responders gained trust and reduced anxiety in those being treated, and achieved better physical and emotional results for patients and safer conditions for the victims. The first responders were trained to provide care and comfort by taking several classes to improve skills that are needed to help others suffering during the traumatic events of 9/11. The heroes of 9/11 showed great compassion for the victims of that dreadful day.

To start, many heroes of 9/11 committed acts of bravery. Bravery means an act of courage in the face of something scary or dangerous. On 9/11 more acts of bravery occured than any other day in the twenty-first century U.S. For instance a tour guide at The Pentagon gave medical aid to injured people outside and then went back into the building while it was still in flames. For instance, a twenty-four year old equities trader helped over a dozen citizens get out of the towers, and then went back in with firefighters to save more. Another reason, is two former U.S. Marines put their uniforms back on and searched through rubble that could have collapsed at any moment. They ended up finding two survivors. In conclusion, the bravery of the heroes of 9/11 saved many innocent lives.

Another important trait in the heroes of 9/11 is sacrifice. Sacrifice is the act of giving up something important or valued for the sake of other considerations. The sacrifices made by the Heroes of 9/11 saved many lives and inspired many people. One example of sacrifice is the heroic story of flight 93. The story is about a hijacked plane that crashed in Pennsylvania. This plane was headed for Washington D.C., but the the passengers stormed the cockpit and overwhelmed the terrorists before the plane crashed. Similarly, ex-commando Danny Lewis tried to single handedly take on 5 hijackers on the first plane that was hijacked by terrorists. But, he died in the process trying to stop the hijackers. Another example of sacrifice on 9/11 is the time and money sacrificed by firefighters and police officers who worked with so much effort save people. Overall, thousands of people sacrificed their time, money, and even lives to save others on 9/11.

In comparison to Heroes helping many people on 9/11, other people helped each others to by caring for them. If you care for someone you have a great amount of respect and compassion to them. Caring for others could be as simple as helping someone up when they fall down. One example the care for others people had in 9/11 is about 80% of churches in the US prayed during the horror of 9/11. Reportedly, two men carried and elderly woman in a wheelchair down eight-three floors of the south tower and carried her to safety. In addition, Gander, Newfoundland welcomed 6,700 people who’s flights were rerouted during 9/11. In the tragedy of 9/11 one thing remained constant, the care that the people of the United States have for each other.

Once again, the heroes of 9/11 demonstrated acts of bravery, sacrifice and caring for others. Even though over 3,000 people died that day, there were heroes who rose up and stood for their country. 9/11 forever changed the lives of the people of the United States, and from now on we will live alongside each other as one nation united together. The heroes of 9/11 demonstrated acts of bravery by giving medical aid to people at the pentagon, helping people escape the twin towers while they were on fire, and searching rubble for survivors.

The first responders of nine eleven will be remembered for their bravery. According to Merriam Webster DIctionary, bravery is “the quality or state of having or showing mental or moral strength to face danger, fear, or difficulty : the quality or state of being brave”. The heroes of 9/11 were extremely brave people who saved many lives. Even civilians helped with rescues. Twenty-four year old Welles Crowther saved over 12 people on 9/11. He was working in one of the twin towers when it was hit. He saved many people then went back inside the tower to save more people. His body was found with firefighters holding the “Jaws of Life” tool. A tour guide at the pentagon started giving people medical attention before running back into the pentagon to help more while it was still on fire. Not all heroes were at the World Trade Center, the passengers on Flight 93 took the plane away from hijackers and crashed it into a field to possibly save the White House, the Capitol Building, and the lives of many people. The heroes of nine eleven showed bravery and sacrifice trying to get people out of the buildings.

People sacrificed themselves to save others trapped in the building. According to Merriam Webster, sacrifice is the “Destruction or surrender of something for the sake of something else.” Many people that came to help at the World Trade Center were off-duty, or came from areas outside of New York. There were four planes that crashed and people made sacrifices in all of them. People saved other people in the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Passengers sacrificed themselves while crashing the plane in Pennsylvania. A NYPD officer, named Moira Smith, immediately ran into the buildings to save people and eventually died in the towers. She was remembered for her calm assurance while bringing people out of the building. Ronald Paul Bucca was a fire marshal with the FDNY. He died helping the seventy-eighth floor of the south tower right before it collapsed. Many people sacrificed their time and lives for the lives of others.

People cared for others during the attacks of nine eleven in many different ways. According to Merriam Webster Dictionary, caring is “feeling or showing concern for or kindness to others.” People showed acts of caring no matter who the person receiving the act was. Rick Rescorla saved more than 2,700 people, ignoring intercoms telling everyone to remain at work. He sung songs to help people stay calm the whole time. Even the rescue workers showed compassion for the search and rescue dogs. The dogs’ spirits were so low because they were not finding any living people, so the workers hid in the rubble so the dogs could find a living person and help them continue searching. Many first responders were badly injured and lost their jobs and their families. John Feal was one of these people, and he decided to start the FealGood Foundation, and began to pressure Congress into passing a bill to provide medical care for first responders. Heroes helped other people with injuries, stress, and even search dogs.

Bravery was shown in the tragic events of 9/11 through the courage of the first responders.
Bravery is the quality or state of having or showing mental or moral strength to face danger, fear, or difficulty.Lots of people showed bravery like Mark Bingham, Welles Crowther, and Rick Rescorla.Mark Bingham showed large amounts of bravery. He was called by his wife who told him that planes had hit the towers. At that point he knew it was an attack. At this time people had hijacked his plane but, he didn’t know what they were going to do with it.He gathered the people on the plane and they planned what to do. After that they rammed a flight attendant cart into the cabin door. This broke the lock, then they rushed in killing two of the hijackers with their bear hands. They continued to fly the plane into a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
Rick Rescorla was already a hero on the battlefields of Vietnam where he earned a silver star and other awards. On the tragectic day of September 11, 2018 he was working as the head of corporate security. When American Flight Eleven hit the tower across from him Port Authority told him to keep the employees at their desks he said no and just in sixteen minutes he led 2,700 employees and visitors out of the building. During the evacuation he sung “God Bless America” and “Men of Harlech” t0o reassure people. Rescorla was last seen on the tenth floor of the south tower heading upward looking for stagulars. His body was never found. Welles Crowther showed bravery by going to different floors and directing the injured and disordered office workers to safety. He also encouraged them to help other injured and disorder workers. He was credited for saving at least a dozen lives. The heroes have shown bravery through putting their lives at risk of death.

The brave human beings who rushed into the Towers, Pentagon, and the cockpit of flight 93 saved countless lives. The passengers on flight 93 got up the courage to rush the cockpit, scare the hijackers, and take control of the plane so that the hijackers couldn’t crash the plane anywhere near a large amount of people. The first responders risked their own lives to save people that they had never even seen before. Some of the people who were running out of the towers risked their lives to help other people that couldn’t run out; that is true bravery. There were many people who helped and showed bravery on 9/11.

Helping others in some way, or showing love or affection can brighten someone's day or save them from suicide. People rushed from all over the country to show love and compassion to the victim’s families. There were more than 1000 volunteers that worked at ground zero of the Twin Towers. There were two Marines that were starting their everyday lives and heard the news about the towers they both sped over to the towers at about 120 mph uniforms on from opposite sides of the towers. They did not have a plan they were ready for search and rescue efforts. Rick Rescorla served in Vietnam he sung songs to his fellow soldiers while under fire to keep them calm. So on 9/11 Rick Rescorla (a security guard in the towers at the time) sung songs in the towers while people were evacuating in order to keep them calm just as he did in Vietnam. He lost his life that day. Rick was credited for saving 2700 lives on that awful day. People will give their lives in order to save someone else’s. If that doesn’t show Caring for others then nothing will.

Everyone should thank all of the heroes, and the lost for their sacrifices on that day. Not only should you thank them you should also pray for them. The Heroes on 9/11 should be awarded the bronze star whether they were in the military or not on that day they demonstrated amazing acts of bravery. Most cannot even fathom sacrificing their lives in order to save someone, but that is exactly what the First responders and passengers on flight 93 did that day. The literal definition of caring for others is actually sacrificing yourself to save someone else. 9/11 changed our country for the better or for the worse we upgraded our security in airports, trained our first responders to a better standard, and it even brought us into a war over seas.
