What we can describe the video is it explains that the communicative language teaching provides a theory of how language are best learned and make suggestions based on this theory on how language should be taught and which activities work best.

It is good knowing loads of words and how to form grammatical structures but we also need to be aware of register and language functions which probably result confusion. 

The communicative approach says learners need language knowledge and knowledge of how to use the language to achieve communicative competence.

Communicative language teaching is based on the idea that learners best learn a language when they’re actively using it.

The video also explain how activities that provides meaningful communication can help students when it’s learner centered and has a real-life purpose.
