TRIGGER WARNING: This page contains details about violence against women and girls, violence in relationships - we recognise that this can be difficult to tackle, but wanted to create a space to have the conversation. We encourage you to contribute as much or as little as you want, to proceed gently and take care of yourself. Please be constructive and respectful on this page - we will do our best to remove inappropriate content, but invite everyone to take part in making this a safe and respectful community. Thank you.

What is the Peace Level?
The Peace Level is a first draft at creating a tool that helps both men and women to identify the behaviours, thoughts and feelings associated with violence against women and girls - we hope that this will help us to better understand how violence shows up, to find ways to talk about and address it before it escalates, and stop violence in it's tracks. This page is a work in progress and we are looking for input from anyone who has an interest in contributing - we want to co-create this tool with you, and then to launch a first version in early 2017.

How can I get involved?
The objective is to make the Barometer and the Levels below as reflective of real experiences as possible, and to create a simple tool for identifying and tackling violence against women and girls - we want your help to make this tool as useful and impactful as possible. Have a look at the different posts on this page (you can scroll down to see more) and press the + in the right hand corner of your screen to add your comments - you can post anywhere on the page. We want questions, comments, edits, builds, feedback, ideas, new dimensions, your experiences, examples, thoughts and feelings about this. You can add them anywhere on the screen.

Community Agreements:
- We will only use inclusive and respectful language
- We bring a spirit of collaboration to this page, and value the diversity of each others expressions
- We will not delete or edit other people's posts - we will add our views separately and in constructive ways.

For more information on violence against women you can go to the WHO website: http://www.who.int/mediacentre/factsheets/fs239/en/
Support for dealing with violence against women and girls varies from country to country, but the EDV Global Foundation has a good resource of global partners here: http://www.gfedv.org/reducing.php

In conversation with a group of women, we began to explore the complexity of finding balance in relationships - although the barometer is helpful, it doesn't capture the dimensions that we find when navigating the issue of violence against women and girls. The image below captures some of the thoughts from that conversation in an attempt to explore balance and imbalance.

Please share any thoughts, comments, ideas and inputs with us by adding a comment box of your own.
