Does the repair of old products as part of sustainable economy have a chance in the short to medium term? As you show in your book, there is a big gap between theory and implementation of the concept on sustainability. What would have to happen to push sustainability action forward? Or to narrow the gap?

2. Is Post Growth realistic in the "gloabal north"? Because I can imagine that many people do not want to give up priviliges/wealth which are based on economic growth (services, pension fonds e.g.).

1. The book states: "There is a considerable gap between wide-ranging sustainability talk and missing sustainability action". But at the same time, isn't the focus on pointing out the imperfect attempts at definitions detrimental to the attempt to link theory and action more closely?
2. In connection with question 1, doesn't the criticism of the Pareto Optimality of current approaches also lead to the undesired standstill of actions, because nobody wants to make things worse, but thereby also no improvement can occur?

The statement of Scott Campbell indicates that "in the battle of big public ideas, sustainability has won: the
task of the coming years is simply to work out the details and to narrow the gap between its theory and practice” (Campbell 1996, 312). (p. 6)
My question is: which other "big public ideas" exist which may be contradicting or challenging or even opposing the sustainability idea or even offer another path. This question relates to the fact that "[t]here is a considerable gap
between wide-ranging sustainability talk and missing sustainability action." (p. 50)
