Remake of Discuss a childhood experience and how it impacted your life.

A childhood experience that impacted my life was October 26, 2020. My birthday. That morning, I woke up and I joined my google meet crying because I thought they forgot my birthday. After 5 minutes my parents and siblings walked in singing 🎤 happy birthday, I was still crying 😢 they asked me why I was crying, I replied "because I thought you guys forgot my birthday" they were all smiling and they said "We would never forget your birthday" and we hugged. The lesson I learned is to not assume things.

This one particular childhood experience stands out in my mind. Once when I was in my country I used to do parkour a lot and I was doing dangerous stuff like jumping of off roofs, doing flips, etc. One time it was me and my friend and we were in a park doing parkour and there was a statue in the middle of the park, so I wanted to climb on top of it and jump off with front flip. When I jumped my leg slipped on the stone and I failed the jump and fell down with the back of my head facing the ground. When I was falling I put my hand under my head so I wouldn't hit my head. If I had hit my head on the concrete floor, it would've done a lot of damage. I learned to be careful and not do the dangerous parkour anymore.

One childhood experience was when I was about 5 and I fell of staircase and I fractured my kneecaps. How did it happen ? well like said I was about 5 and I was at my grandmothers house with some of my cosines and we were playing tag and we kept running up and down the staircase while my grandmother was mopping. she kept telling us that she don't mind us running around and having fun but we cant be doing it on the stairs especially when its wet. While I went upstairs to get water not wanting to miss any fun I decided to run down to stairs knowing its not yet dry and I slipped and fell down the stairs and ended up falling on my knees and that's how it broke . What did i learn from this is down run around in places that are wet and listen to your parents or grandparents.( this happened in Haiti ) :)

One memory that Impacted my life was when I almost broke my arm. I almost broke my arm when I was 6 because I was riding my cousin's bike and asked for no help whenever he asked me for it . I was riding the bike and I remember running into a rock and fell on top of my arm. My cousin offered to help me because the bike had no training wheels and I was still little to ride it without training wheels but I said no because I thought I would be able to ride the bike without the training wheels. Overall, The lesson I learned from this was that I should always take people's help whenever they offer me help.

A childhood memory that i’ve experienced which impacted my life was getting my finger stuck in the elevator. I was about 7 when this happened and i thought it would be funny to stick my hand through the elevator the last few seconds before it closed. This plan backfired on me and my finger ended up being stuck in between the elevator doors, and as i started screaming my mom realized and pushed the elevator button before it could start moving to the next floors. Ever since then i’ve been scared of elevators and always preferred to take the stairs. I learned to never stick my hands between elevator doors because it’s not guaranteed that it’s going to stop in time.

This one particular childhood experience stands out in my mind to this day. This one time I was playing soccer barefoot there was no one to play with so I was hitting the ball to the wall and the ball was coming back to me. After some time the wind started blowing and when I was about to hit the ball, it flew out of the way and I hit the wall so hard that I injured my toe. When the pain was gone I still couldn’t move my toe properly. The message I learned from that experience was to never play any sport barefoot again.

I don't remember too much about my childhood. All I did was stay in bed or go at the park. When I'm in bed, I would use social media, text people, and just sleep. When I was in the park I never played basketball at first, but it was my best friend that got me into basketball. I was really bad at it. The first time I played I didn't even know what to do with the ball. My friend helped me out by teaching me how to play the game. When I really started to play it was getting fun. A year or two later, I really loved playing basketball. It was really the thing that I love doing. Now I still play, but I got into a fight with the friend who helped me. I don't wanna talk about how it happened, but now if I think about it I was wrong for getting in a fight with him.

A lot of birthday parties, basketball games I played in, my senior trip, and my graduation. All these things made that year my best year of school for me. 5th grade and these great experiences impacted my life because that was where I learned life lessons such as to always appreciate what you have. When I graduated, it felt like an end to one journey and an beginning ton another. Overall, 5th grade was a great childhood experience that stands out in my mind.

Childhood experience that stands out in my mind is when I flew to Crete island, Greece, when I was 5 years old. We got on the plane and I was very afraid, because I was afraid to fly and thought that we would crash. But everything was fine and we arrived without any problems. We settled in a separate small house which was a hotel. It was a very good hotel. There was a very good restaurant right next to the hotel. We walked and traveled around the island and it was very beautiful there. I was very glad. We visited the cities on this island and it was amazing. We had a very good and busy week! It impacted my life because I learned new about world and culture.

One of my childhood memory's that I've experienced was visiting my mom and my dad's family in 2018. My dad's family lived in Hong Kong, and my mom's family lived in Taiwan, and it was the best experience traveling there. Usually every 3 years, we visit my parents family's, but the meet up in 2018 was the best out of all! We went to a theme park, lived in a amazing mansion which was typically a hotel but better! We got it to meet my uncles daughter for the very first time! We ate together, we went to zoos, and in general we just had a amazing adventure! Though, we also traveled to Hong Kong as my dad's family lives there. Ones we arrived to Hong Kong, we so much fun that I'd never even expected! We went to my grandma's friends, they had about 10 cats. We played with them and had a lot of fun! we also went to some private sweet, it was very cool! One of the best time I had in Hong Kong is going to Disney Land! I had never been to a Disney theme park so I was extremely excited! We went to a alike space mountain, amazing dark rides, and more! It was something I'd never expected to happen. This impacted my life because it made me realize meeting your parents family's is something so rare to experience, and you get 1 time to experience this amount of fun before it ends. Unfortunately, our plan going again in 2021 was canceled because of Covid-19, but I would never forget that trilling time!

I was about 7 years old when I first joined and I'll say I was a little troublemaker and was not taking it seriously. Making jokes and being disrespectful. I always wanted to quit because people said karate is for boys only and not for "fat black girls" like me and that I will never win any trophies and metals. But my Haitian mother said I had to do it because she knew it made me happy. 7 years passed and now I Willine Saget am an official black belt in karate Tae Kwon Do I won 12 or 15 trophies and 23 medals and have 33 wins and broken 45 boards. I told them she didn't drop me today cry my eyes out, so they called my mom asked her who dropped me off to school and she told them my uncle did and they said that they didn't see him and later found out .that he dropped me off in the front of the school and left right after I got out the car my mom cursed him out and stopped him from dropping me off to school again. I was at my grandparents house over the weekend, I was playing in the backyard with my grandparents dog (it was a German Shepperd) in the backyard from the morning until the afternoon. As we went inside the house ate dinner went sleep and I woke up around 7 or 8am in the morning. While my grandparents slept I took out the water gun and began running around the house and my grandparents had a glass door in their living room and the door wasn't that hard to break. So as I ran looked back at my shoulder and when I looked back I ran into the glass door. The whole place was messy with glass shards all over the place and me lying unconscious on the floor bl**ding out on the floor from my left hand. My grandparents rushed me to the hospital and after a week I got back on my foot. Overall, I learned that I should never ever turn back when I'm running inside or outside without knowing what's in front of me.

A childhood experience that stands out in my mind is when I flew from the country where I was born to New York. When I was three years old, my parents divorced, and my dad flew to New York. My mom was angry at my dad for a long time, so I didn't even know that I had a father. There were even times when I was praying in the corner of the room to have a full family. When I turned 8, I finally started meeting my grandparents from dad's side and after that, I started talking to my dad. After a long time, at 12 years old I finally made it to New York, after not seeing my dad for 9 years. My dad already had a different family which I really liked. This had changed me a lot, finally feeling myself in a full family made me a totally different person. Overall, a childhood experience that really had changed me a lot was the moment when I flew from the country where I spent childhood to New York, totally unknown country for me.

One childhood experience that stands out to me is when I played soccer in a professional match. I was 11 years old when I was invited to a team called "Lokomotiv", once we had a match with the best team in our city. I was scared to play because I had an injury at that time. I had to play because we didn't have enough people, but at the end of the game, we won by penalties. Right now I am playing for myself with my friends. That moment taught me to always be confident.

This one particular childhood experience stands out in my mind to this day. It was the start of 2018 in September it was the year that I first came to America and it was the first day of school, I was extremely nervous because I didn't know a thing about English and I was also nervous because it was the first time meeting new people that was a different skin color for the first time. But it turns out English isn't hard and I learned it fast. That moment helped me not be afraid of people especially when I don't know anything about them.

A Childhood memory that impacted my life, was February 6th-8th.Me,my mom, and my sister we were going to a tournament called Made Hoops in Skoopy Nook, Pennsylvania. It was a tournament for many basketball teams from the United States. My team was one of them, So I had played 3 games that day we won all 3,but when we had got in the car she was just ranting and ranting about how I barley played and stuff but I just blocked it out because I really didn't care what she was saying ,cause she don't know what she talking about. Next day she talking after the games on the way home in the car about the same thing she was talking about yesterday but I had actually played so she was just chattin. But, from what I learned from this trip is not to take my mom on another away tournament, so I wouldn't hear her mouth

When I was coming to New York I had to leave my friends and family and all the things I used to enjoy doing like being in a chorus back in Haiti and more. When I came to New York everything changed. I had no friends, I wasn't doing good in school. I had to learn a whole new language which took me about like 5 years and a half which really slowed me down. I didn't understand what the teachers were talking about half of the time and I only started to get things when I was like in 5 grade. This childhood experience impacted my life in a good way it taught me to never give up and to always appreciate what I have.
