These two career tests gave me a different outlook on job searching questions in regards to qualities and interests. I always thought at my young age, I wouldn't have much interests or even qualities that qualified me for most jobs. I was always afraid when it came down to applying for a job because I didn't know how to handle the interview aspect of it. Being asked what means the most to me or what qualities make me stand out as a candidate, it was always too scary for me to face. These tests bring a different face to those questions because I didn't know basic qualities like the ability to communicate feelings or simply being friendly were qualities looked for in jobs. It is nice to know that being realistic too is acceptable and that I don't always have to be this reach-for-the-stars sort of person.

Based on Chapter 13 and 14 I learned quite a bit of different things to share. For one, I learned about judgement with old people. I work in a senior home as a waitress, and you'd be surprised as to how big a chunk of the residents' day it is in their meal time. So I see quite a lot of the same people everyday that have a routine they prefer to stick to. With this reading of the two chapters, especially chapter 13.2 (pg 383), in regards to age discrimination and even before that (section 13.1) mentioned this idea that older people are so underestimated. I didn't realize how much of a misconception it was that older people lack more day to day skills, when in fact it can be the very opposite. I have noticed the wisdom in the residents at my job and it shocks me at how they are able to word a very specific thought that I never believed was deemed possible to be brought into words. Chapter 14 taught me about the nature of deterioration as we age, more so physical, and I believe it is possible to battle that with healthy life choices that can be less dangerous while fun. I prefer a safer lifestyle anyway, the bonus to it is a healthier senior experience.

This quiz emphasized on the idea of remaining young. I would say that I understand the perspective that the quiz is coming from, it is important to remain physically healthy to the best of our abilities before there is a "its too late" moment for us all. I mean we all generally strive for that sort of ending, a healthy one, but sometimes the inevitable happens. I believe that even the richest and most able to live a healthy lifestyle people can be hit with a very sudden and incurable disease. It is a test in my eyes, and so I will learn to appreciate the life itself and implement spiritually healthy habits that can equal out to a physical healthy state. I am decently healthy in respects to the test results, but this quiz merging with my personality immediately has me thinking deeply.

I learned a bit from taking this quiz, not much compared to the other quizzes, considering this one was very straightforward. I learned that life expectancy does not only depend on the physical state of a person but also the mental state. Questions involving stress was incorporated and my eating habits because I have heard the saying that you are what you eat. I think it really applies here because your food habits can really alter you emotionally while also physical doing so. I also think it is important to know your family's history in health because it can come back to you, perhaps it is simply better to know to ensure you take the right precautions.

In my opinion, the best stage of life is Early Childhood. As much as you have a long way to go, it is the best experience in life before the many stages after. Based on section 5.5, the social development part is my favorite in this semester to read about. I yearn everyday as a soon to be adult of my early childhood years. Now, I may not remember much as it was too long ago for my memory, but the little memories that I have stored talk to me everyday. Also, whenever I see young children being young children now, my heart misses the days when I laughed the same and acted the same. I feel every child nowadays chases the idea of being an adult really fast, especially girls with the makeup and the high heels and the so wanting to be an adult already for the independent freedom. But adults now yearn for childhood through bows and children shows, nature, and vulnerability. It is a sad reversed reality that even when warned of it at a young age, to be told to enjoy your childhood as a child doesn't make much sense until you grow old enough to understand. Of course by then, when the realization hits, it is far too late to take the advice. I appreciate the youth and I hope to meet people that inspire my inner child to release around them. I love the idea of living care-free, not for consequences, but for responsibilities and worries. It is now hitting me at the age of 18 how much responsibility awaits me as I age, and it is now that I want the be a child all over again.

In my opinion, I absolutely liked the way you structured and organized this class. I absolutely like the weekly updates and the way you email us what is coming for the week, at the beginning of the week. It is very passionate of you as a professor to care enough to do so, as many professors lack the motivation to enjoy their job. I liked the interactive discussion boards, but what I loved the most was the way most of your assignments are oriented around our personal feelings and thoughts within each lesson learned.
