Elementary School: 1st-6th grade (6-12 years old)

Children in Ireland are required to attend school from age 6 until they are 16, or until they have completed three years of secondary school.

   The majority of primary and secondary schools are locally owned by religious denominations or organizations and are not public schools.

3. School day

   The school day is usually 5 hours and 40 minutes long, with classes starting between 9 AM and 9:30 AM.

For children ages 6–11 they go to primary school

For students ages 12–15, 6-9 they go to lower secondary school

For students ages 16–18 they go to upper secondary school

University and colleges are just higher level of education

Secondary school

Also known as post-primary school, secondary education is divided into three stages:

Junior Cycle: The first three years of secondary school, for students aged 12 to 15. Students take the Junior Certificate exam at the end of this cycle. 

Transition Year: An optional year for students aged 15 to 16, where they can focus on personal development, work experience, and exploring different subjects. 

Senior Cycle: The final two years of secondary school, for students aged 16 to 18. Students specialize in subjects relevant to their future academic or career paths. They take the Leaving Certificate exam at the end of this stage.

Tertiary education

For adults who want to attend university or college. Entrance to most forms of higher education is through the Central Admissions Office (CAO).

international schools are essentially private schools which teach english.

2: in cambodia schools look DRAMATICALLY different. specifically public schools, because of the heat typically no windows will be placed instead replaced with metal bars. (they look REALLY weird to me)

3: there arent school busses because there are ALOT of schools and kids either ride there own motorcycles or walk to school, i even saw what looked like a 6 year old and a 2 year old on a motorcycle
