We are on the train right now going to Devon. It's very calming sitting in the train with these people, I've already made friends! They are very nice and they shared their food with me when I got hungry. The weather is not the best, but we could survive. I'll talk to you later when I can, Bye

I have arrived at my new home. The ride was a bit scary, because we heard a lot of noises. The people that take care of me are very nice. How are you, I hope you are doing well and that you are safe?

Dearest Mum,

I hope this letter finds you well.

It has been just a few days since we left London but I already miss you so much.

I am alright. Fortunately Tucky and I travelled together the whole way here and we are staying together on Mr Reynolds and his wife’s farm. They are very kind and treat us as if we were their children. This is all very different from London. There are many animals on the farm, especially horses, milking cows and sheep, and we are allowed to help take care of them. Did you know that a baby horse is called a foul?

I have a new friend, Jip, the farm dog. We go for long walks together. We also help Anne, Mr Reynolds’ wife, at home. She is a wonderful cook.

School is about three miles away, in the village. Everybody is nice there, especially Mr Cooper, the teacher.

Dear Mom,

I'm writing to tell you that I'm doing well and that I can't wait for the war to be over so I can come back home.

Tucky and I are both fine. Mr Raynold and his wife Anne are very kind to us. We may play outside a lot, but we also have to do some chores around the farm. My favourite chore it to feed the lambs. We like the food we get hear very much, because it's all so fresh and tasty.

I have to stop know. I can't wait to hear from you, because I worry about you a lot. I hope you are fine and safe.
