Yes, if they serve in the country for long enough. See, when they become naturalised citizens they are part of Singapore and have the same rights as anyone else. If they have mature views and everyone agrees with him and trusts him why shouldn't he be allowed to be a president? He is part of the country, has seen what needs to be improved and if he can convince the majority of the people to vote for him he must become president, because I know many migrants who are very intelligent and I've seen Singaporean politicians who feel vastly unqualified. Hence, they should be allowed to run for president.

No

I do not agree that naturalised citizens should take up presidency. Naturalised citizens are not born with pure Singaporean blood. So they may have their loyalties to be invested on another country. "Naturalisation" is granted by rights, but it may not be granted in their hearts. Thus, naturalised citizens would not have the strong sense of belonging in a country that is not their true home. So, they will lack the necessary commitments and patriotism to lay their very lives in service to a country that is not their sovereign.
