1. One of my goals for this semester to become more confident in my playing. I want to be comfortable with playing out when I need to and focus on the quality of my sound as well.

2. Last semester one of my goals was to have all my scales memorized, however I didn't fully reach that goal so I want to bring that over to this semester but I want to be able to play them memorized with double octaves if possible.

3. I want to learn Movements I and III of the Haydn Trumpet Concerto. Last semester I played the second movement for my jury, so I want to improve that one and learn how to play the whole concerto. Maybe I can play the other movements for my jury this semester, but we shall see :)

1. In order to be more confident in my playing, I need to make time to practice more than I currently do. Focusing on fundamentals will make me more confident when playing complicated rhythms, and practicing often will help improve my endurance overall as well.

2. I want to focus on a specific scale every week and then add the double octave wherever I can. Adding new scales every week to my practice routine and practicing varied scale exercises will help with my muscle memory. Exercises would include some arbans and arpeggios too.

3. Focusing on one movement at a time and blocking them is my plan for learning the new pieces. Dedicating time to mastering a set of measures at a time instead of just playing through the piece. I will be practicing slowly with a metronome as well so that I reduce the number of mistakes I make.
