         <title>What is motivation </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>According to the dictionary, motivation is defined as: The reason or reasons one has for acting or behaving in a particular way. When someone is talking you start to think about "having the motivation to do something" and most of the time that is correct. Motivation is a very important aspect of someone's life, and it can make all the difference if they succeed or fail. There are different ways that people can motivate theirselves. Whether that be financial motivation, domestic motivation (getting into a better living situation) or just a person goal, motivation is important. Without it nothing in this world would get done, and people wouldn't achieve their goals. Everything in the world around us is accomplished through motivation by a certain individual, and if no one had motivation the world we live in today would be non existent. Motivation is important for everyone, and mastering how to attain it is one of the most important life skills. One of the things I struggle with in my life is staying motivated with what I am doing. I always start something that I want to do with a lot of motivation, but quickly lose it. I want to know how I can continue to stay motivated with what I am doing. I believe that if I were to be able to stay motivated with my idea, I would benefit greatly in my life. I Have goals set for myself but I have trouble following through. One of them is to take my soccer team to nationals, and hopefully even win. It would be a huge accomplishment for me, and I think about it almost every day. I want to get to the point where I can act on this goal and eventually get there.  </div>]]></description>

         <title>Getting out of the struggle </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Many people, like me, are capable of creating big end goals and starting their project. But once it comes to staying in the rhythm of things and reaching that end goal, for most people, the spark starts to die out, and you find yourself unmotivated to finish what you started. With a few helpful tips on how to get out of that ditch and make your goal seem more manageable/ reachable, you will be able to reach your goal in no time. To start out, all you really have to do is take a step back and take a deep breath. it may seem silly, but ADAA (Anxiety and Depression Association of America) says that 18% of Americans have anxiety. if you set a goal for yourself that you feel like you need to get done, and you can't achieve it you will start to get stressed and anxious, so taking a step back will help. According to the article "11 ways to stay motivated &amp; focused to achieve your goals" by Bustle.com, breaking down your goal into smaller more achievable goals will help make the goal seem less overwhelming to reach. Many people get intimidated by their own goal and start to peel away from it. But before you get started you must make sure that the goals you have set are your own. If they are goals that people told you you should have, you will have even less motivation to do it in the end. Having the goals be your own makes you want to accomplish them even more. I am someone who likes to sit down and plan out how I am going to accomplish things, so getting advice to sit down and plan out how I am going to make it more manageable helps me feel like I can accomplish it. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Rewards  </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Many people in todays society like to use the reward system for getting other people to do things for them. For example schools, bosses, and even parents. This method seems like it works because we are surrounded by it every day. Teachers rewarding students for turning things in on time as well as attendance, by giving the students a grade for how well they did. Or bosses telling their employees that they can get a small bonus if they do a certain job. Even parents do it by rewarding money for doing chores. Contrary to what we think we know about rewards, they are actually not very effective long term. When trying to motivate ourselves to reach our goal, rewards aren't enough to keep us going. Alfie Kohn, an author and lecturer who specializes in human behavior and education, explains how rewards only have temporary effects, and actually in the long term have negative effects. According to research, students who were offered a reward for attending school, attended the classes for about two weeks until the reward didn't seem worth the work. In a separate study, it was found that eventually people start to do the task just to get the reward rather than to achieve a goal. Since the human mind, in the long term, doesn't react to rewards in an effective way, people need to find a different way to motivate theirselves. Everyone has different ways to motivate theirselves, but according to Forbes.com visualizing your end goal while you are working will motivate you more. Visualizing the feeling of achieving your goal is the best motivator. you will feel the need and drive to accomplish your goal more, as well as completing it for yourself rather than for an alternative reason. This is important for me to learn because I used to try and motivate myself with video games, like once I am done I can play for thirty minutes then go and work some more. So now that I know this, I will implement my reward ideas with visual motivations instead. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Never done </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Goals are like small little milestones that you can check off of your list once you’ve completed them. Just because you have finished your main goal doesn't mean you are done with your life. There is no reason to feel comfortable with your life, because there is always so much more you can do.  Setting goals is an important thing to do when trying to stay motivated because they show your progress and how far you have come from the start. When you have reached a goal you shouldn’t<br>stop making them; one of the most important aspects of motivation is repetition, and continuing to push towards your goal over and over. If you were to stop making goals, you would eventually fall out of the ryhthum of trying to achieve them, ultimately placing you back in that ditch of laziness.  Once you get to a certain point in life it’s not always about self improvement, but sometimes it’s setting goals so that you can help others. There is a point in time where you may feel like you have put all of the time and energy into make yourself a better person, but eventually you start to think about others as well. So don’t think that goals only have tobe  for yourself, they are also for others around you. This is important time because most of the time when I think of goals, I think about how I can be   better, and I don’t really think about others. So now that I know this, I am going to implicate it into my life and try to think more about others throughout my life rather than just at the end. </div>]]></description>
