See/Notice: We noticed that it’s about segregation and the battle of whites and blacks. It’s also a comic in black and white which probably indicates that it’s from the 1900s.

Think: We think that there are racial conflicts and it might lead to a war, maybe the civil war.

Wonder: We wonder if the memoir is completely true or if it has fictional parts in it.

2) What I noticed is that the book is an actual diary that was written by a real person, and that it is non fiction.

3) What I think is going on in the book is that Anne frank and her and another family are hiding from the Nazis in a hiding place and Anne writes about her experience there.

4) What I wonder about the author of the book is if she successfully hid from the Nazis long enough to escape from the Netherlands, or if she had gotten caught by them in the end.

I noticed that this book is technically a primary source.

Think: I think that the narrator will be a 15 year old black boy on the road to freedom, constantly facing challenges.

Wonder: I wonder if the author is black and if its based on a real life story.

See/Notice: I noticed that the story is based on the Holocaust and tells the story of a little girl's family

Think: I think that the family will get caught due to Anne being the type of person to be loud no matter what since she is so happy-go-lucky.

Wonder: I wonder how the people hiding felt and what they thought about the situation.

3. Based on the summary we concluded that this book would be about equality and the moments of the civil rights movement.

4. We wonder if this comic would be humorous but still educational. The reason we wonder this is because in one page we landed on, had a chicken which is odd with no background.

See/Notice: What me and my group sawin the trailer was a man named John Lewis going through terrible things with racism, and the lack of equality during the civil rights movement. We noticed that the book goes over serious topics, like racism and inequality.

Think: We think (know) the book is going to be about John Lewis, and his journey/story before and during the civil rights movement, and the impact he made.

Wonder: We wonder what types of challenges the main character faces throughout the book.

See/Notice: I saw that Anne Frank wrote the book through the suffering of the their hiding during 1943-1945.

Think: I think it's going to be a book that it's going to be a diary that's documented everyday about the events that are happening.

Wonder: I wonder what made her want to write about stuff and why Mr. Frank came back to find it.

See/Notice: I see black students being led out of a school by soldiers and being separated from white students.

Think: I think that all of the black students are being forced out of the school to be placed somewhere else. What did they do for them to be separated.

Wonder: I wonder how the main character feels about being segregated. I also wonder what made the author write this book.
