Are you referencing the above? (I'm not suggesting you add eyes, but am curious if you are consciously thinking about this.
Is this hand gesture referencing something specific? 
Are the teeth all fully emerged or some embedded in the hand (wisdom teeth not yet out, etc)
This can work, but it will be very important to put lots more time into the clay model in preparation for carving the final piece.

You might not know the name Jim Phillips, but if you skateboarded in the 80’s then I guarantee at some point in your skating career you owned a sticker, t-shirt, or graphic designed by this legend. As I was trying to think of something interesting to post I remembered all of my favorite stickers that I use to collect with my brother. The first sticker I ever remember buying was by ‘Slime Balls’ and the second was ‘screaming hand’ which was designed for Santa Cruz. After investigation, Jim Phillips seems to be the man who created all of the amazing graphics that defined that era of skateboarding. I found a fantastic article by Fecal Face when they visit Jim’s studio.
