As our thriller target audience is set between the ages of 15-25, it was only right to base our narrative around teenagers. Stereotypically, teenagers are associated with parties, drinking, violence and friendship groups - all except drinking is shown through our opening. The story behind Disclosure is that a trio of friends went to a party one night, with one of the friends murdering his brother. The three friends are then trusted to keep the murder a secret between the 3 of them, which shows how we managed to incorporate teenager stereotypes into one. Also, through the mise-en-scene, we can see that the clothes worn were all casual 'in trend' outfits.

We only had one adult in the thriller, the detective who came into school to interview us.
He appeared rather intimidating and dominant when asking the 3 teens about the murder, but not scary enough to make them confess their secret. The detective was also dressed very formally, which portrays adults to dress smartly - according to their job status.

Gender roles were kept fairly equal in Disclosure, with 2 females and 2 males. During an argument between Mike and Adelaide, neither gender dominates the conversation which shows the gender equality. However, it was the male of the friendship that committed the crime reinforcing the dominant ideologies that males are stronger and more violent than females.

All being teenagers, there isn't a recognizable difference in terms of class and status. Although, the detective is clearly shown to be a higher class than the teenagers, due to his well-respected job and the uniform that comes with it. Although that being said, house parties are stereotypically seen to be an event of the working class, which suggests the teenagers backgrounds.

Due to the area we're based in the UK, there isn't as much diversity when it comes to ethnicity and therefore our thriller doesn't really represent ethnic differences. However, in terms of accents, the detective has a southern London accent which are stereo-typically believed to be posh - fitting in with his higher status job role.
