Buddhists do not worship a god. Instead, Buddhism is centered around self enlightenment and reaching a state of inner peace. Buddhists often meditate as they believe it helps awaken truth. Buddha, real name Siddhartha Gautama, is the founder of Buddhism. While he is seen as an extraordinary being, he is not a god.

Most forms of Hinduism are henotheistic, meaning they worship a single deity, but still recognize other gods. In the picture above is Lord Ganesh, one of these other gods. Most Hindus do not eat beef or pork, or are just vegetarian. The reason behind this is because food is a very important part of life for them.

Judaism is a monotheistic religion, meaning they believe in one god. They believe this god has established a deal with them. According to the Torah, God revealed himself to Abraham. Abraham is a Hebrew man who is known as the founder of Judaism. Jewish people worship in holy places that are called synagogues. Their teachers are known as rabbis.

Christianity is a monotheistic religion, meaning they worship only one god. This Godhead is divided into 3 parts, though. The father, the son, and the Holy Spirit. The father is God, the son is Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit is the presence of god. Jesus Christ is the founder of Christianity. Christians believe that God will come back to earth. This is known as the "Second Coming".

Islam is a monotheistic religion, meaning they worship only one god. This god is known as Allah. The founder of Islam is the Prophet Muhammad. Muslims worship Allah by reciting the Quran and praying. The Quran is considered one of the most important holy books among Muslims. Muslims also believe that there will be life after death.

The Destruction of the Second Temple was when the Romans reclaimed Jerusalem and destroyed the Second Temple. Along with the destruction of the temple, the city was left in ruins. The destruction of the Second Temple, and the destruction of Jerusalem in general, marked a drastic change in Jewish people and Judaism itself.

In Hinduism, they believe in one main deity, Brahman. All other gods stem from Brahman. Brahma is one of the gods that stems from Brahman. Brahma is the creator of all reality, or the God of Creation.
