Kidney Kids (a Mt Wellington charity) has asked us to fundraise alongside the auckland marathon (possibly run our own collective marathon - like a tag team)

eLearning: have staff assess themselves on elearning framework and set goals for professional development to utilise and maximise appropriate use of netbooks, iPads, iPods, iMacs and skills gained this term in movie making. Add elearning vision to SPS curriculum.

Co-construct elearning guidelines with student (per class) then as a school.

Learn what it means to be a digital citizen, ethics around sharing information and images digitally as well as cyber safety - how to manage (staff and students) what we put out on the Internet and the possible consequences of not being a positive digital citizen.

Children to investigate groups of people in society who are 'different' (Special needs, homeless, canteen, refugee, elderly, disabled). Investigate what makes these groups different and the 'big finale' - do something that will make a difference to attitudes of students AND help those groups - fundraise, work alongside them etc.

-Understanding out rights as citizens of a liberal democracy.

-Encouraging participation within the democratic institutions of Aotearoa to safeguard human rights. This aspect could lead to a school election, for example, showing the role that everyone plays in a democracy.
