The NCD Estates team took steps to improve the situation and all  the windows in the library were serviced. All hinges, handles and seals were checked and those in need of repair were fixed or replaced.
A project was also started to install entrance doors on the library to reduce the amount of cold air and noise that comes in from the mall. This was put on hold during the lockdown period but we hope that work on this will resume soon. 

We will be submitting a bid for funds to have entrance doors installed on the library. We will carry on running our  Click and Collect service to support these students.
This is how Click & Collect works:
1. Go onto the Heritage Library Catalogue & search for books.
2. Reserve the ones you would like to borrow: reserve books which are available and on the library shelves.
3. Wait for an email to arrange a collection time: we  will then get permission for you to come into college as you can't just come in during lockdown.
4. Come and collect your books at the agreed time, remember to wear a mask and maintain social distancing.

We have looked at this again recently and have just ordered some table top power & USB sockets.
Two will be installed in the QSR and another will be put in the main library area.
