The Aztec were located in the middle of the lake so there was not much room for farming. So they got creative and made these floating gardens called Chinampas. Chinampas are piled with mud and dirt to make a "floating garden." There was a couple times were the crops started to fail. Everybody was hungry and people would sell themselves into slavery just so they could get some food. Somethings they grew were beans, peanuts, avocado, peppers, sweet potatoes, and corn.

There were many Aztec cities each one had different laws and rules to follow. Some crimes among the cities would be stealing crops, public drunkenness, and murderer. A punishment for one of these could be getting your house destroyed, saving your head, and sacrifice. Since there was no prisons or jails they would most likely kill you. Small crimes would be taken care of in a basic local court but bigger crimes would go to the temples.

Ullamaliztli was one of the main games, the court would be one of the first things built in new cities because it was very important. Children would play with bow and arrows.
