Newborns-- Receives Comfort Object.

One-- At age one the ones are placed on a stage by the nurturers who cared for them and then after the ones were placed they would just walk around a little wobbly and show off how they have accomplished  they also receive names (14).

Three-- At age three the threes start school and start to learn/perfect their language and I believe I saw that at age three they are invited to dream tellings (I forgot the page number).

The sunburn memory that The Giver gave Jonas gave Jonas the perception of sunshine and soon after sunburn. After Jonas had learned what sunshine was The Giver gave him a memory of sunburn for a minute he was fine but soon Jonas's skin started to sting he started to say ouch repeatedly and move around on the bed but before he could get the word for this memory he opened his eyes and lost It. Jonas at the Middle of the Novel-- Jonas's Symbol In the middle of the Novel Is a Guard.

The reason I say Jonas Is a Guard Is of the pain and agony he is forced to have to keep the community from having to experience the same pain and guilt of the past like the memory of warfare that The Giver gave Jonas.
 When Jonas was experiencing the memory of warfare he had to see others suffer In pain he had to watch terrors of war unfold In front of him and this was only one of the terrible memories of the past that Jonas has to remember forever to keep the rest of the community members from having to experience such a memory as that. What you just read above shows that Jonas Is a Guard but not a Traditional Guard but more of a Guard of Intelligence of the past that If others were to see the Intelligence of the past It would change their lives and they to would have to hold the burden of the terrible past forever. Jonas vs. The GIver
The Giver and Jonas have had mad many conflicts but the one that sticks out me Is when Jonas begs the Giver to come with him when he escapes but the Giver refuses as he will need to help the community when all the memories come back. Symbol= People arguing while being sad.
Jonas vs. Jonas
Jonas has had conflict with himself many times but the think that really sticks out to me Is when he was think In his head wether he should tell the GIver that he gave Gabriel memorys by accident.

The whole book Is based around Jonas  having thoughts about the community so the really big conflict between Jonas and The Community Is how The Community acts which makes Jonas slowly but surely rebel against the community.

Jonas's conflict with nature Is very hard to find as he mostly does conflict with other and himself so Jonas's conflict with nature Is when he escapes but only when the planes come searching for him as he has to use the memory of Ice cold snow to lower his body tempeture so his body heat wouldnt be found on the thermal camera on the planes that were searching for himself.

My Review of "The Giver" Is five stars. The reason I give such a high rating Is due to how the story Is told and all the excitement with their twists and turns that keep the reader entertained and shocked with some events. And another reason that this book Is that Lois Lowry purposely makes the text to give you a good image In your head of how everything looks and how everyone acts and I also love how Lois Lowry also gives us the choice of what you thinks going to happen next. One last reason I have doesn't relate to what Lois Lowry does but the amazing companies on youtube who made audiobooks so the story comes to life even more but this time with voices which did help me a lot get through this book. So In the end would I recommend the book? The answer Is 100% yes.
