I was amazed by the depth of their questions, the power of their ideas, and the joy that came as they created a vision for their futures.
 
Equally impressive was the bilingualism our students displayed...They were able to interact at a sophisticated level in both English and Portuguese, switching quickly and easily between them....amazing evidence of the power of this school...mostly 9th graders too who are using language this way.

One person shared giving a high five to every kid as they came in, and if the student needs the teacher to know something to give a squeeze.  The teacher will find a way to get back to this student and, in the mean time, knows to be aware of the student's needs.
