Art Ed: Technologies in the Classroom by Emily Lindstrom

Aside from art history and the elements of design, there are not alot of ways technology can stay relevant in a traditionally based classroom, as art teachers have spend their budget on supplies. So, how would you use technology to learn art/ keep you engaged in an art classroom, even if you don't like drawing, painting, etc?

Hi! So my art teacher always made us do all our projects throughout the year, geared towards something we are interested in. For example, I did all my art work related to softball. I was not a big art fan, but being able to make projects based on my interest was REALLY helpful!

There are many ways to use technology in art aside from the design. I know there many apps out their that let you transform traditional art! This technology would help with the photography aspect of art as well!

I remember in younger grades like middle school, having computers in class was exciting not the learning purpose, but more for the Painting program on the computer. I think that giving students a time period with free creativeness will allow students to be more willing to stay focus and engaged in the art classroom.
