         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>When:</strong> beginning of lesson, after lesson, after students finish the worksheet</p><p><strong>Why:</strong> allows students to self assess, can be discrete, and provides teacher with information on who is still lacking confidence with the topic</p><p><strong>How:</strong> Students self assess on their confidence around the lesson by either writing zero, one, two, or three in their notebooks, on a piece of paper, or using their fingers. Where zero means they do not understand and three being they completely understand. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>I would have students practice, "claim-support-question"</p></li><li><p>students would make a claim, support their reasoning, and then pose a question/question others.</p></li><li><p>I would use this by have a problem on the board and asking students to claim-support- question regarding the prompt. This would help gain insight on how well they know the content and their depth of knowledge. </p></li></ul>]]></description>
