Students continued with Unit 4 - The big sky
Students read about a trip to the moon and answered questions about it.
Language focus: regular verbs in the simple past (+ed), regular verbs in the present continuous (+ing).
Students used conjunctions (and, but) to connect sentences.
Students wrote about an imaginary trip to the moon.

Students will begin Unit 5 - Let's measure
Students will spend the week reviewing for the end of semester test.
The test will include Unit 1, 2, 3 and 4.

2. Maths

• Current week

We started our Unit on Devision. Students will be learning how to complete division. We will be dividing by 2s, 5s and 10s. They practised sharing numbers into equal groups. Please use LMS for additional material.

• Next week

We will be reviewing our understanding and knowledge of Unit 5. This will include Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

3. Science

• Current week

On Wednesday, students attended a field trip to 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐚 - 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲. Students learnt how to test materials to find out their properties. Students created and read information from a bar chart. Students can make predictions about the water permeability of a material.

• Next week

Students will find out why a material can be good for making some objects, but not others. Objects like table and chairs cannot be made from chocolates and bicycle should have strong metal to ride on it.
Students explained the reason why a certain material are chosen for specific purposes on the basis of their properties.

4. GP

• Current week

Unit 3 - L1. When Im 64. Children will cut and stick a human growth timeline.

• Next week

Students will continue Challenge 3 - Helping Animals.
Students will discuss in depth the difficulties animals need to survive in the local environment and what they need to survive.
