He was working in the North tower of the twin towers and it had a loud explosion and the building started to tilt. Micheal is blind so he needed his dog to lead him out of the building. He makes it to the stairs where there are no windows and 1400 stairs. He does not look at the fact that he is blind as a disability so when people tried to help him down he refused help he had that much faith in his dog . His dogs name was Roselle. They do find more people along the way and they eventually they all work together to find a way to the bottom of the building. The lights also went out so everyone had to follow Rosene down the stairs becuase it was so dark. When they got outside the building it started to collapse in its self. The dust from it was almost chasing them. He is blind because he was premature and was in a oxygen tank to make sure his lungs could mature. But the oxygen would get in his tube in his eye which made him blind. This same thing happened to Stevie Wonder. Micheal is about 50 during the book but doesn't get written till his 60s. He worked in the World Trade center in what was the North Tower. He has had many seeing eye dogs and he gave them the beginning of the book. Most of it is for Roselle but his other dogs are also mentioned.
Roselle- This is one of eye dogs. Micheal has to get down by himself because he is offered help but he refuses to get help he trust Roselle to get him to the bottom of the building.
Conflict 3. The buildings lights go out. P Vs. It did tend to drag on and it was easy to know what happens in the book.
