English is difficult in DSE but what’s more difficult is Maths. I hate Maths a lot, especially when it was teaching by English. I just can’t remember thoese equations and vocabulary. Even though I did great at lessons, I still ended up a fail in exam. Maybe Im just not the one who can do maths well. (Lily)

1. The Vocabulary Barrier: I constantly worried about my word knowledge. 2. My grammar skills are definitely my weakest aspect in English, especially when it comes to writing essays. I often lose my rhythm, resulting in messy grammar.3.Reading: Personally, it is difficult for me to understand a complicated IELTS passage within a limited time. Even though I can comprehend the meaning of individual vocabulary words, I often feel confused when they are combined into a sentence.

Good afternoon, I am Mitchell from Visual Communication. Recently i have bought a Lego Idea set, and the illustration above was the version that I extended with Procreate. As you see I love building Lego, and also I would love to make some paper-craft in 3D, this process can bring me relax and let me to find out the amazing details brought by the gathered-tiny bricks. Instead of Lego, I would love to watch animation, and the favourite one is Kimetsu no Yaiba, as the battle scene are very eye-catching, and the second one that is Makoto Shinkai, there are many well-known movie, like Your name, Weathering With you, every scenes are beautiful as wallpaper in depicting the landscape of Japan, and the story line of different characters are also touching.

Hope this year can learn more, and make more friends in the class, and pass 3 to 4. ;-)

One challenge I faced in the dse was not able to concentrate and listen to the listening audio. I dosed off a couple times and could not manage to keep up, leaving some blanks on my paper.
Another challenge was my slow writing pace. Me writing slow caused me to not be able to answer the questions at the pace I wanted.

To be honest, I have a lot of difficulties in learning English. English is my biggest weakness:D I have very little vocabulary, many spelling problems. When I submit my writing homework to my teacher, I always get a bunch of red handwriting because of my grammar. Sometimes when I look at my essay again, I have no idea what I am talking about ^^ But I don’t know why I can always pass my English exam in past few years haha^^ Anyway in my pre mock exam, my predicted grade of English was failed. I realised that I could no longer rely on my luck and started panic. I knew that my foundation is very poor but I don’t have much time before my dse. I think the biggest challenge is lack of vocabulary and my poor grammar skills in English. However I didn’t have any spare time to recite new words since I need to study other elective subjects. Therefore sometimes I felt frustrated and hopeless.

To begin with,the biggest challenge i have faced is that lack of numbers of vocabularies. I realized that when i was writing a passage, i just had one or two synonym of one word and that word appeared in my passage again and again. In my opinion, it looks boring and repeating for the readers.
The second one is that listening or chatting with a native speaker or someone who have accent with their English. As a person that mother tongue is not English, the speed and the contractions of the speaking native speaker make me hard to understand the context of them.

One of my difficulties are reading long paragraphs in English and doing boring tasks based writing emails and idk whatever it is according to the long and complicated data files. It always manage to confuse me and make me lose both my patience and attention on the tasks and the passages. I don't mind hard vocabularies are used for comprehension (paper 1) . but I hate the complicated, long and messy data files , as well as the unclear and indirect task requirements from paper 3.
