We spoke about the benefits of both splitting up groups by level and mixing the students. By dividing the students according to level you can create a more tailored plan that is appropriate for each level of comprehension. By mixing the groups you can have students support each other and those that are the strongest will increase their own comprehension by teaching it to peers.

We are going to split up the 6 students who are more proficient in with reading and kind of be the leaders in each group. We will be mixing the groups so that everyone can help and have a voice. The teacher can float to each group to assess. One strategiey will be Using pictures with vocabulary words to help students.
